The Brussel Sprouts
You either love them or you don’t. Do you like them?
I remember growing up, always dreading eating them whenever they were presented to me. Along with chicory, Brussels sprouts were my least favorite veggies. That bitterness just never did it for me.
Yesterday I found myself letting out an excited “yay Brussels sprouts!”, when I saw them in the supermarket. Clearly a lot has changed over the years.
Learning new ways to prepare them made me appreciate these vegetables. Today I roasted them in the oven with yellow curry powder, loads of garlic and some maple syrup.
